The Ultimate Pass & Play Tic Tac Toe Experience
Sometimes you don't want to play against computers or coordinate online lobbies. Playing Tic Tac Toe side-by-side with a friend, child, or classmate on a single screen is the classic way to settle quick rivalries.
To make this experience completely seamless, we built **Face-to-Face mode**. Traditionally, one player has to look at the board upside down if you are sitting across a table from each other. With Face-to-Face mode activated:
- The screen splits into two dedicated player compartments.
- The top compartment containing Player O's HUD rotates 180 degrees.
- When Player O places a mark on the board, that symbol (O) is displayed rotated 180 degrees, rendering normally for Player O and upside down for Player X.
- This orientation matches physical board games perfectly, making it ideal for tablets placed flat on a table between two people.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can we change symbols or player colors?
Currently, player 1 plays as X (red theme) and player 2 plays as O (blue theme). You can fully customize your player names inside the setup box to display on the HUDs.
Does this game require internet connection?
No. The game runs completely offline inside your browser, drawing no external network data while playing. Once loaded, you can play on a plane, road trip, or anywhere without cell service.
